About The concert

The two-time ECHO Award winner Ramón Ortega Quero is, without doubt, the most distinguished oboist of today and is recognized around the world as one of the most inspiring musicians of his generation.

At Snow Concert Hall he collaborates with his long time musical partner Ana de la Vega with whom he has recorded 2 acclaimed albums and performed throughout Europe’s major concert halls. Together they have been hailed as the new superstar duo of this rare flute / oboe combination with major European press noting “The harmony between the two soloists is almost dizzying” they are “Perfectly attuned” and play with ‘Brilliant Elegance’ (BBC). Dutch Cellist Tieje Hylkema (Sydney Opera and Ballet’s principal cellist) and renowned award-winning pianist Grace Kim complete this international chamber music star line-up.

Haydn’s evergreen ‘London Trio No.1’ and Bach’s masterstroke ‘The Musical Offering’, is beautifully balanced by both Clara and Robert Schumanns lavish Romances. The laters famous Fantasiestucke for cello and piano and the to seldom heard firecracker ‘Concertante in F’ for flute and piano by Moscheles closes what promises to be a concert of rarely experienced finesse and fire.
